My FIRST law-breaking experience. I was trying to cross to the other side of the road where Peninsular Plaza is.
The officer who spoke to us (as many were jaywalking at the same time) pointed that there are 2 pedestrian crossings along the road and so we shouldn't jaywalk.
Duh... And it made me realise that the gahmen is so smart to construct pedestrian crossings only at the beginning and at the end of a road which is like 800m in length. How convenient.
Anyway, it was a $20 fine and i thought i could just pay on the spot... You know, just get it over and done with. But hell no lor, they just recorded my ic number so they can send me a bill for the 20 bucks. -LOL-
And so I thought the letter content could be something like;

Dear Ms Liu,You were caught by our officers for Jaywalking. In case you haven't realise the seriousness of this offence.
You could have been knocked down and flattened under the wheels of an oncoming vehicle. And as a result, you will die in the most horrible manner you could ever imagine. Get it?!

Therefore, you must pay Singapore Dollars Twenty Only, S$20.00 at the nearest Post Office, AXS or SAM for the above offence committed.

I should really let the $20 remind me that if I continue jaywalking, I may one day just die in a pool of splattered bloody internals on the road. Or maybe if I continue jaywalking, I'll have to consider putting aside $500 every month for the fines.
