What A Spectacle

My weekend's been pretty dramatic... Hehe!

Played mahjong into the wee hours for 2 consecutive nights (Wednesday & Thursday). We wouldn't have stopped if it wasn't for me who dropped. Oh ya, I'm pregnant and at the same time plagued with depressing blood pressure. In fact, fainting spells are usual during this gestation period.

Recap:
It was almost 4am on a Friday morning. My vision gradually fading while my hands were rapidly losing their senses. I fought on... refusing to cave in as I felt my blood draining away.

My Stunt:
Finally collapsed at the mahjong table and scared the wits out of my mother-in-law. Practically shook the whole family. My gynae too, was woken from his sleep. I had to be helped downstairs to the car because my legs went soft. We raced to the hospital and I was wheeled into the 24-hour women’s clinic. The Husband & Jaslin explained to the nurses pertaining what happened.
The staffs insisted on sending me into the delivery suite though it’s been clearly emphasized that I fainted and am not about to deliver.

In the Suite:
A room the size of our HDB bedroom. One bed for the mummy, an inclinable armchair for the daddy, a plastic crib for the baby and a television for everybody. I was left there for the nurses to monitor baby’s heart rate and whether I’m having labor contractions. The Husband was excited, pacing around the room observing every tummy movement and trying to read the heart-rate monitor. After what seems like an hour, a doctor came to look at me. I was asked if I wanted to be admitted so that my gynae can see me once he comes in the morning. Nah, told Hubby that I’d rather go home and come back later in the morning.

Drama ends here? Not yet.

Had another game with The Husband’s aunts on Saturday evening. Ended with a turned-table and heated argument between father & son. While it caused the Mother’s blood pressure to hit sky high. I would dare say that it was of no fault of my husband’s.

I am not afraid to announce that the father-In-law is an extremely sore loser when it comes to mahjong. Because he is;

A person who blames everything under the sun when he’s unable to win a game.
A person who will curse and swear at the mahjong table or chairs.
A person who slams the cards on the table whenever he loses.
A person who loiters around the players giving lousy opinions when he's not involved.
A person who thinks he is always right in his own unreasonable ways.
In my opinion, he doesn’t deserve a seat at the table and he ought to realize how unpopular he is.

Hmmm… am thinking of a way to prevent him from poking his nose into our games and ruining our fun. Somebody please stop him!

Maybe I shouldn't be saying all these for he's after all, my father-in-law. But he went over the limits this time. Sorry Hubby... I will still respect your dad as long as he isn't by the mahjong table.

I shld be there on Sat man.. Miss the drama.. oops, sorry... Maybe if I'm around, there wont be a turn table incident? Cos everytime only I will entertain ur Father-in-law, nobody wants to answer/reply him. So sad... Hmmm...

But to a certain extend, I do agree with u that he is not a gd mahjong player khaki.. ohoh!

As i told u just now.. Our usual combi is the best.. Just as long as ur mother-in-law don't keep keeping our winning tiles, esp Jayson, we shld be doing just fine =)
